Trip to China highlights spring break at RE

Nineteen Ransom Everglades students traveled through China on an exciting spring break adventure led by Chinese teacher Xiaohong Teng. Beyond studying Chinese language and culture, the students engaged in meaningful service and exploration throughout the country during the March 26-April 5 trip. They volunteered at the Panda Park, cleaning facilities and preparing food for the pandas, visited the Yangtze region to learn about local minority cultures and the surrounding environment, and donned aprons for a Chinese cooking class. They traveled through Chengdu, Enshi and Wuhan before their final stop in the vibrant city of Shanghai, where they immersed themselves in the energy of modern Chinese life.
