Students enjoy 'waypoint' experience at Royal Caribbean

RE upper school students spent a day learning about careers in hospitality, business, marketing, technology and operations during a full-day immersion at Royal Caribbean during spring break. Part of the new Explorer Externships Program, the visit also allowed Ransom Everglades students to have lunch with RE alumni at the company and hear from President of Silversea and RE parent Bert Hernandez.
Students submitted applications to participant in the visit, one of the new "waypoints" that are part of the growing externship program run under director Jenny Gragg Carson '03. RE professional community member Umehani Hassan accompanied RE's students: Roberto Erana '27, Gabriella Torres '29, Natalia Andrade '29, Winston Hosford '27, Mateo Bernal '27, Ayaan Hassan '27 and Victoria Garcia-Pinochet '28.
