Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Has Successful Trip to the Keys

The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Team traveled to the Keys over Spring Break and picked up two road victories. In the first contest Sophia Antezana led the Raiders with 3 goals, 6 assists and 7 draw controls and Calliste Skouras contributed 3 goals, 4 assists and 3 draw controls as the team defeated the Key West Conchs, 21-3. Ellie Dyke recorded a hatrick while Maya Rego, Rachel Bienstock, Gaby Pena, Jojo Pena and Coco Sell each netted two goals apiece. Dyke, Rego and Georgia Crosby dished out 2 assists while J. Pena won 3 draw controls. Daelyn Einhorn and Isa Goyanes rounded out the scoring with 1 goal apiece. Goaltender Helaina Harris had 10 saves and 4 caused turnovers. In the second game of the trip the team defeated Coral Shores, 16-1. Antezana (3 assists, 5 caused turnovers and 6 draw controls) and Dyke (1 assist) both scored a game-high 4 goals. Skouras stuffed the stat sheet with 3 goals, 1 assist, 7 ground balls and 8 draw controls while J. Pena contributed 1 goal, 2 assists, 7 ground balls and 3 draw controls. Rounding out the scoring for the Raiders was C. Sell with 2 goals, G. Pena with 1 goal and Bienstock with 1 goal and 5 ground balls. Goaltender Helaina Harris made 2 saves on 3 shots and caused 3 turnovers. The team went 100% on draw controls.
