Coed Varsity Sailing Places 3rd at Atlantic Coast Championships

This weekend the Coed Varsity Sailing Team was invited to the High School Sailing Atlantic Coast Championships held at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The team competed against the 20 best high schools on the East Coast of the United States. A cold front came through on Friday and morning temperatures on Saturday were near freezing with gale force winds. After Saturday's race, which included many postponements due to dangerous winds, the Raiders finished the day in 2nd place. Sunday morning started with chipping ice out of the boats, but with the opposite wind conditions as Saturday. Postponements due to extremely light wind gave the team an opportunity to warm up. Overall, the team earned a 3rd place finish after the end of Sunday's race.
