Ransom Everglades rings in the Lunar New Year

Students in Ransom Everglades' Chinese language classes and Chinese Culture Club literally took center stage during the Lunar New Year assembly on February 10, ringing in the Year of the Horse with thrilling fan, dragon and lion dances and traditional music performances, including the song "Gong Xi Gong Xi." The festivities in the Lewis Family Auditorium continued out to the Miller Quad, where the upper school community gathered to enjoy sushi, sweets, dumplings and other delicious fare.
The event was organized by Director of Inclusion and Community Engagement Wendell Graham '74, Chinese teacher Xiaohong Teng and many parents who contributed to the delicacies provided to the student body.
