After weeks of relentless rain, we finally got a break and were able to complete just our second match of the season yesterday at Briar Bay — a welcome milestone for our young squad. Thank you all for your patience as we’ve navigated this unprecedented stretch of wet weather. It hasn’t been easy on anyone, and your support means a lot.
Our Rookie Raiders went up against Gulliver’s veteran team, and Gulliver played extremely well, shooting a remarkable 137 for four golfers (even with the tees pushed up). Despite facing such a strong field, our boys fought valiantly, and we’re so proud of the effort they gave. They truly are the future of the program.
The highlight of the afternoon came on Hole 9, where Michael “MJ” Mendelblatt made the first eagle of his life — way to go, MJ!
Our next match is on Thursday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the Briar Bay Golf Course. Bus service will run to and from Ransom Everglades. Let’s lock in and hope for dry weather!
