Girls soccer starts the new year off with a victory

A two week break from game play could not stop the Raiders from coming out with a purpose at Robert E. Walker Field last night against Key West High School. Junior Yasmin Gurani '21 put the Raiders on the board with a beautiful goal off a great pass by junior Lindsay Gould '21. Later in the game the Raiders would make it 2-0 on a goal by freshman Lauren Howard '23. Defensively, freshman Karyna Steele '23 had a strong game and goalkeeper Preston Edmunds '20 made a few key saves to notch her fifth shutout of the season. The victory moves the Raiders to 6-5 on the season as they head down to Coral Shores today for an important road match at 6:00 PM.
