Instant classic plays out as Raiders advance to district final

Despite trailing by 48-38 late in the third quarter to Florida Christian, the Raiders kept fighting as they have done all year and delivered big shot after big shot to give themselves a chance in the fourth quarter. With 1:04 remaining in the third quarter a lay up and three in back to back possessions by senior Ben Thorpe '20 and a three at the buzzer by junior Neil Schiff '21 turned a 10 point deficit into a one possession game in the blink of an eye. The fourth quarter would turn into a heavyweight fight with both teams laying it on the line. Senior Joseph Kodsi '20 would convert two free throws with 20 seconds left to tie the game up and the defense would hold to force overtime. Juniors Nick Lampert '21 and Neil Schiff '21 would take over during the extra session with big three's and tremendous defense on the final possession of the game to lead the Raiders to victory and a shot at a dsitrict championship Thursday night at Rivera Prep at 7:00 PM. Please come out and support your Raiders!
