RE Combo garners national recognition

The RE Combo performed in the National Jazz Festival in Philadelphia on Feb. 15 and earned second place overall in the Small Ensemble Division I classification. Tenor Saxophonist Connor Munroe '21 won the Judges Choice Solo Medal and also took top honors in his division with the Superior Musicianship Award.
Munroe and Director Jon Hamm accepted their respective trophies on the stage of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Terrace Ballroom during the evening's culminating awards ceremony.
 
Participants in the festival included high school and middle school students from ten states and Puerto Rico, representing the top programs in the nation.
