Entry parking nearly finished

While RE students learn remotely, construction continues at the upper school. Workers are putting the finishing touches on the entry parking lot and have laid herringbone pavers and installed lighting to complete the driveway to the La Brisa house, creating an attractive access way.
The monumental staircase on the STEM Center is also nearly complete as workers overlay coralina stone (a natural stone from the Dominican Republic) on the steps. The staircase will serve as both access to the second floor of the STEM Center and amphitheater seating.

The floor-to-ceiling windows have been added to the building’s first floor, enclosing the facility. Workers continue landscaping the quad in front of the STEM Center and the La Brisa parking lot, moving trees that had been temporarily relocated and preparing the grounds for additional plantings.

Work also continues on the access route and parking area behind the STEM Center, Cameron Hall and Ludington.

Shawmut Design and Construction has kept the project moving during the COVID-19 outbreak, while also prioritizing the safety of the workers on site. Every day begins with a morning meeting reviewing guidelines for social distancing and site safety from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other agencies.
