Middle school marks Earth Week

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Nik Varley from Coral Restoration Foundation spoke virtually to sixth- and seventh-grade science classes about CRF's work growing critically endangered corals in offshore nurseries and outplanting fragments onto reefs in the Florida Keys to help restore our declining barrier reef system. Earth Day celebrations continued as the Middle School Green Team organized an Earth Day Poster Competition.
The MS Green Team challenged the RE community to create posters to support clean air, water, climate action and the animals and people of the planet. Participants were asked to take photos with their signs and submit them to Green Team and participate in the global EarthDay.org movement by placing their location on a global map.
