Parents: Volunteer for The Fund for RE

With a new academic year underway, whether we are near or far, we are all looking for ways to connect with the school and each other. As parents, we will have many opportunities to get involved and play an active role in the life of Ransom Everglades this year. Parent, faculty and staff volunteers already came together to safely help distribute laptops, books and other supplies on both campuses — with smiling eyes and a bounce in their steps, despite the heat! The weekend was a welcome reminder of the strength of our community when we work together.
With this in mind, we invite you to join us as a volunteer for The Fund for Ransom Everglades. Each year, more than one hundred parents help to encourage philanthropic support of RE from all of our families. The best part about this job is that you can do it from anywhere and on your own time while also being part of a team and larger network of parent volunteers.
Parent volunteers are organized by grade teams and work under the guidance of energetic and experienced Parent Grade Chairs who lead each team. We would like to give a warm welcome and introduce our new 6th Grade Parent Chairs Meg French and Cia Mackle, and new 8th Grade Parent Chairs Heidi and Rob Diemar. We are also happy to welcome back our returning chairs: J.J. Snow Hansen (7th Grade), Melissa Buckner (9th Grade), Eleanor Barnett (10th Grade), Lissette Stancioff ’86 (11th Grade), and Allison Holly and Wendy Levitz ’88 (12th Grade). We are so grateful to our steadfast team members who inspire us every year with their enthusiasm for Ransom Everglades.
We hope you will consider joining one of our teams. This year more than ever, we need the power of participation behind us as we work to bolster the culture of giving at Ransom Everglades. To learn more, contact Melissa Bonafonte, Director of The Fund for RE, or visit our web page.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
