Raiders get crucial road win to improve to 13-6 on the year
Senior Lucas Ortiz '21 had a career night with 33 points on 18-18 from the free throw line as the Raiders defeated Belen Jesuit 52-44. The first half saw the Raiders struggle to make shots, shooting 2-13 from the three point line, yet they managed to stay in the game behind a strong defensive performance. The lid would finally come off the basket in the second half behind Ortiz who would score 20 of the teams 22 fourth quarter points to help erase a six point deficit. Seniors Neil Schiff '21, and Nicholas Lampert '21 would provide crucial plays down the stretch to help the Raiders put the game away. The victory moves the Raiders to 13-6 on the season as they host Palmer Trinity tonight. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
