Ransom Everglades nominated 13 students for the annual Silver Knight Awards competition that recognizes high school seniors for academic excellence, service, citizenship and achievement in various subject areas. In its 62nd year, the highly regarded recognition program is run by the Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald. Schools throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties may nominate one student in each of 15 categories; winners will be announced this spring.
The nominees were selected by the school's college counseling office with input from RE faculty and administrators.
