Raiders REtain the oar for third consecutive year in 28-6 victory

Junior quarterback Nicholas Rubino '23 led the way accounting for all four touchdowns in a gritty performance to lead the Raiders to a 28-6 victory over rival Palmer Trinity to REtain the Oar for the third straight year. Junior Gabriel Menendez de Alencar '23 recorded his first receiving touchdown of the year, and senior Ryan Sadler '22 had his best performance of his senior campaign . Defensively, the Raiders came up big in the second half with two forced fumbles to help erase a 6-0 first half deficit. The Raiders would convert both turnovers into touchdowns to cap off a 21 point third quarter. Junior Trent Mopsick '23 went toe to toe with the Falcons best receiver putting together a strong performance. The Raiders offense would put the game away late in the fourth quarter behind a six minute touchdown drive that would bring the final score to 28-6. The Raiders will get back to the practice field today as they begin preparations to host Marathon High School this Friday evening. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
