Raiders cruise to victory in home opener

Junior Kathryn Serra '23 continued right where she left off at the end of last year with a dominant performance to lead the Raiders to a 56-21 victory over Divine Savior. Serra nearly notched a triple double with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and seven steals.  Sophomore Gabby Pena '24 contributed eight points, eight rebounds, and three blocks to get her season off on the right note. From the opening tip the Raiders controlled the game forcing turnovers, and winning the rebounding margin by double digits. A 15-2 run to open the game gave the Raiders a big lead that they would never relinquish.  The Raiders will now head to Calvary Christian this afternoon in their first road contest of the season. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
