REsilient effort REwarded with Victory!

Raider Boys remain unbeaten versus the Falcons, posting a 2-1 win. Lucas Rua's mid season surge led the way with two goals in the first half. Collectively, the boys stood firm after sustaining early injuries to captain Carlos Lavernia and Andres Casal, led by the mighty efforts of Michael Goff, JJ Candib and Lucas Schleifer. Countless Falcon attacks were stymied by consistent defending. Our midfield strung together several passing sequences that placed our opponents chasing the ball. Alas, an unlikely own goal was registered late in the game from a well-taken corner kick. Nevertheless, our Raiders saw out the game while the Falcons scrambled to find a second goal. Credit goes to Gks Coley Hucks and Samuel Bussel-Alonso for their solid performances. They will definitely be needed in the final of our 3-game stand as we travel to face the Miami Country Day Spartans. This will conclude the 2021 portion of our schedule with a well-deserved break on the horizon. The Varsity boys REturn to action in January!
