Raiders advance to district semifinal with 2-1 victory

Freshman Anna Lavernia '25 had two goals on two assists from senior Madison Munroe '22 as the Raiders advanced past Somerset South Homestead in the district 15, class 3A quarterfinals by the score of 2-1. Both Raider goals would come in the first 20 minutes of action, before South Homestead would claw back with a goal of their own. Both teams would go back and forth the remainder of the first half. With a 2-1 lead to start the second half, the Raider defense would hold up and prevent South Homestead from scoring the equalizer. With the victory the Raiders advance to the district semifinal and a showdown with Westminster Christian. That game will be played at Westminster on Friday, January 28th at 3:30 p.m.
