Raiders win five set thriller, will play for district title
The 2nd seeded Raiders hosted the 3rd seeded Rivera Prep Bulldogs in a classic district semifinal that saw the Raiders storm back from a 2-1 deficit to advance to Friday nights district championship. The Raiders would start slow as too many unforced errors led to a first set defeat. Behind sophomore Julia Lewkowitz '25 and junior Kennedy Hagen '24, the Raiders produced a much cleaner second set which included ten kills. Despite a loss in set three, the Raiders showed their mental fortitude fighting back to take set four, and the decisive fifth set to close out the nearly three hour match. The Raiders will take their show on the road as they face the top team in the state of Florida in Westminster Christian for the district title this Friday evening. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m.
