RE sixth grader gets second in Herald spelling bee

Kyler Pace '23 finished second among Miami-Dade County middle schoolers at the Miami Herald’s 77th-annual spelling bee March 7 at Jungle Island. Among the younger contestents, Pace finished just behind Archimedean Middle Conservatory seventh grader Vasundara Govindarajan, a repeat winner, who won by correctly spelling boiserie.
Hundreds of students from private and public schools took part in the event. English teacher Jody Salzinger accompanied Pace to the event.
