Raiders celebrate seniors with dominant win
Read MoreThe Raiders delivered an emphatic 24–4 victory over Archbishop McCarthy on Senior Night, honoring their eight seniors with a complete team performance. For the first time this season, all seniors started and played together for the entire first quarter, supported by just four underclassmen. The group set the tone early and continued to lead throughout, with each senior contributing across the stat sheet—including at least one caused turnover. Their versatility was on full display, as all eight impacted the game on both ends of the field and remained a strong presence into the fourth quarter. Senior leaders paced the offense with standout performances from Abby Pollak '26 (4 goals, 14 draw controls, 5 ground balls), Alicia Medina '26 (2 goals, 2 assists, 5 ground balls), Bea de Lima '26 (2 goals, 1 assist, 4 ground balls), and Dylan Berkowitz '26 (3 goals, 2 assists, 3 ground balls). The Raiders also received strong contributions from underclassmen, including Charlotte Funke '27, Nina Lazo '30, and goalkeepers Aziza Apara '29 and Emma Hall '30, who combined to limit Archbishop McCarthy’s scoring opportunities. It was a true team effort, with contributions across the roster, as the Raiders capped off Senior Night in dominant fashion. -

The victory marks the program’s first win over American Heritage in 10 years, making it an especially meaningful milestone. Defense was the difference-maker all night. The Raiders stayed locked in, disrupting rhythm, forcing turnovers, and controlling possession. Junior Caitlyn White '27 led with 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers, while sophomore Dylan Beyda '28 was a force with 6 ground balls and 4 caused turnovers. Senior Lisel Green '26 added to the defensive stand with 3 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers, helping anchor a unit that never let American Heritage find consistency. On the offensive side, the Raiders capitalized on those defensive stops. Senior Bea de Lima '26 had a standout performance with 6 goals and 2 assists, leading the scoring charge. Senior Dylan Berkowitz '26 added 3 goals, while senior Abby Pollak '26 contributed 3 goals and dominated the draw circle with 8 draw controls. Eighth grader Nina Lazo '30 chipped in 1 goal and controlled possession with 5 draw controls, and senior Alicia Medina '26 facilitated the offense with 3 assists. It was a complete team effort, but the story of the night was the Raiders’ relentless defense—fueling a breakthrough win a decade in the making. -
Girls lacrosse rolls in home opener over Gulliver Prep
Read MoreThe Girls Varsity lacrosse team opened its season with an impressive 19–9 victory at home over rival Gulliver Prep, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting year. From the opening draw, the home team established control. Senior Abby Pollak ’26 dominated the circle, finishing with a remarkable 14 draw controls to give her team a consistent possession advantage throughout the game. Pollak also contributed offensively, scoring four goals in a commanding all-around performance. Senior Chloe Zaldivar ’26 made her impact felt on both ends of the field. She tallied three goals and one assist while forcing four caused turnovers and securing a draw control. Eight grader Nina Lazo ’30 delivered an impressive performance in her debut campaign, collecting eight draw controls along with three goals and one assist. The offensive effort was balanced and relentless. Senior Alicia Medina ’26 led the scoring charge with four goals, while fellow senior Bea de Lima ’26 added three goals and one assist. Dylan Berkowitz ’26 chipped in two goals to round out the scoring in the decisive win. Another bright spot for the team was the return of goalkeeper Emma Hall ’30, who earned the start after recovering from a thumb injury. Hall came up with two key saves at crucial moments to help maintain momentum and secure the victory.
