Raiders close out home slate with 34-6 victory
The Raiders continued their winning ways with a 34-6 victory over Palm Glades Prep Academy to move to 8-0 on the season. Despite a choppy start, the Raiders found their footing behind a defense that controlled the game. Offensively, Neimann Lawrence '28 led the way with four touchdown passes including a pair of 40 yard scores to fellow eighth grader, Ron Williams '28. Senior Bryce Sadler '24, and sophomore Raul Matos '26 completed the scoring for the Raiders. The Raiders will now turn their attention to a critical road game next Friday against Archbishop Carroll with the winner moving on to the conference championship game. Raiders move to 8-0 with homecoming victory
The Raider defense continued its dominant run with its second consecutive shutout in a 42-0 victory over Bridgeprep Village Green to remain undefeated on the season. Led by junior Matteo Gutierrez '25 who tallied two sacks and multiple tackles for loss the Raiders held Bridgeprep to minus 14 yards of total offense for the game. Offensively, the Raiders continued to put up big numbers from quarterback Neimann Lawrence '28 who completed 14 of 18 throws for 222 yards and six touchdown passes. Finn McCarron '28 caught a 22 yard pass and took it to the end zone for his first career touchdown as a Raider. Junior Reid Rosenberg '25, sophomore Raul Matos '26, eight grader Ron Williams '28 and senior Bryce Sadler '24 all caught touchdown passes in the victory. The Raiders will get back to the practice field today as they prepare to host Palm Glades Prep this Friday in their final home game of the season. Raiders move to 7-0 with dominant defensive performance
Behind a dominant defensive performance, the Raiders continued their winning ways with a 28-0 shutout over Pine Crest to earn their seventh victory of the season and stay unbeaten. Led by senior Michael Kaye '24, and junior Matteo Gutierrez '25, the Raiders held Pine Crest to three completions the entire game and 180 total yards of offense. Offensively, the Raiders got off to a slow start before finding their groove in the second half with four straight touchdown drives led by Neimann Lawrence '28 who completed 22/31 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns. Junior Reid Rosenberg '24, senior Bryce Sadler '24 and eighth grader Ron Williams '24 all caught a touchdown pass in the victory. Fourth quarter comeback keeps Raiders undefeated
Down 22-21 with four minutes to go, the Raider offense put together a spectacular 75 yard drive concluding with a toe tapping touchdown catch by junior Reid Rosenberg '25 to take a lead they would not relinquish in a 27-22 victory over Coral Shores High School to move to 6-0 on the season. Senior Bryce Sadler put together a special performance on both sides of the ball with six catches for 92 yard and a pair of touchdowns on offense, and 13 tackles to go along with a game sealing interception on defense. Quarterback Neimann Lawrence '28 led the offense going 24/35 for 317 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. Defensively, the Raiders bent but did not break forcing a fumble and an interception against a strong rushing attack from the Hurricanes. Raiders move to 5-0 with shutout victory over Marathon High School
Class of 28 quarterback Neimann Lawrence '28 led the way completing 20 of 23 passes for 319 yards and five touchdown passes in a 42-0 victory over Marathon High School. Ron Williams '28 continued his outstanding seasons with a pair of touchdowns including a 52 yard scamper off a screen pass to get the Raiders on the board early. Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 and sophomore Raul Matos '25 added a touchdown of their own in the victory. Defensively, the Raiders continued their stellar play holding the Dolphins to 103 yards of total offense to earn their third shutout of the season. Raiders REtain the oar in thrilling victory
In front of a packed house the Raiders earned a hard fought victory over Palmer Trinity to REtain the oar for a fifth consecutive year. The Raiders would jump out to an early 14-0 lead with a pair of touchdowns from quarterback Neimann Lawrence '28 to seniors Teymoor Siahpoosh '24, and Bryce Sadler '24. The Falcons, to their credit would not go away and capitalized on two scoring drives in the second quarter to tie it up at 14-14. The second half saw both teams go toe to toe in a close contest. Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 had his best game of the season and led the Raiders in the second half with big play after big play including a pair of long touchdown receptions. With two minutes to go and the Raiders up eight the Falcons would drive down the field and face a fourth and one at the four yard line. With the oar at stake the Raiders would come up big and force an incomplete pass to stay undefeated and keep the oar. Raider defense stays perfect in back to back shutout victories
Read MoreSenior Ryan Bienstock '23 led the way with two receiving touchdowns and one on the ground as the Raiders rolled to a 54-0 victory over Coral Springs Charter School. From the opening snap the Raiders made it clear they intended to put the game away early as sophomore safety Juan Velazco '25 recovered a fumble for a touchdown one minute into the contest. Following a quick three and out for the Panthers, the Raiders would put together a five play, 50 yard scoring drive to lead 14-0. A pair of touchdown throws from Neimann Lawrence '28 to fellow class of '28 teammate Ron Williams and senior Bryce Sadler '24 would open up a four touchdown lead at the end of first quarter. A highlight of the night would come from senior Mike Kaye '24 who recorded his first interception of the season taking it to the house before a holding penalty would negate the touchdown. Raider senior Teymoor Siahpoosh '24 recorded his first rushing touchdown of the season late in the second half to round out the scoring. Freshman Alec Bolivar '27 converted his first PAT try of his varsity career to cap off a great night for RE. The Raiders will get back to the practice field today as they gear up for the traditional Battle For The Oar game against Palmer Trinity this Thursday afternoon. Raiders roll in opener
Read MoreThe Raiders kicked off their season with a strong showing against Somerset Academy to move to 1-0 on the season. The Raider defense shined holding Somerset to under 130 yards of total offense and two of nine on third downs. Junior RJ Donaldson '25 had his best night as a Raider, recording his first career interception which would be returned for a touchdown. Offensively, the Raiders were led by 8th grader Neimann Lawrence '28 who through for over 300 yards and five touchdowns in the victory. Senior Bryce Sadler '24 was terrific hauling in three touchdown passes. Senior Ryan Bienstock '24, junior Reid Rosenberg '25 and 8th grader Ron Williams '28 would round out the scoring with a touchdown of their own in route to a 48-0 victory. The Raiders will get back to the practice field today as they prepare for a road contest Friday night against Coral Spring Charter. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
