Raiders make history earning highest state finish ever
The Ransom Everglades boys varsity golf team made RE history placing 6th, a school best at the FHSAA 1A State Golf Championship. The state tournament was held at the Historic Mission Inn & Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. El Campeon, as the course is known, ranks as one of the most difficult golf courses in the state. The Raiders were led by junior Jesse Hellring '25 (t-8) and senior Jackson Langer '24 (t-34th) who played steady golf over the two-day tournament. Sophomore Hugo Stenstrom '26 (t-41st) sixth grader Axel Monssoh '30 (t-63rd), and senior Nick Viana (t-69th) turned in solid performances to round out the scoring. After reaching the state finals in six of the previous seven seasons the Raiders accomplished their highest state finish in Ransom Everglades history to cap off an incredibly special season. Raiders earn top 8 finish at regionals.
Sophomore Hugo Stenstrom '26' led the way with a one under par round of 71 at the Estates Course at PGA National in regional championship competition, good enough for a fifth place individual finish. Despite a slow start, senior Jackson Langer '24 and junior Jesse Hellring '25 (75, t18th) fought back to move the Raiders up the scoreboard. Sixth grader Axel Monssoh '30 rounded out the scoring for the Raiders. The Raiders will now await word from the FHSAA as to whether or not they have done enough this season to earn a bid to the state championships next week.Read More -
Raiders earn victory in final tune up before postseason
The Raiders closed out the regular season with a tri match victory against Westminster Christian and Gulliver Prep at the Biltmore Golf Course on a beautiful south Florida fall day. Led by junior Jesse Hellring '25 -2 (33), and sophomore Hugo Stenstrom '26 -1 (34), the Raiders put together an impressive team score of 141. Seniors Jackson Langer '24 +1 (36), and Nick Viana '24 rounded out the team scoring for the Raiders. Raiders move match record to 5-0
The Raider golf team continued its terrific season defeating Gulliver Prep and Westminster Christian in a nine hole match at the Biltmore golf course. Sophomore Matteo Bloom '26 led the way with a (+1, 36). Right behind him were sophomores Luca Tonarelli '26 (+2, 37), and PJ Clingan '26 (+2, 37). Raiders earn dual match victory over Columbus HS
The Ransom boys varsity golf team met cross-town rival Columbus (3A) today at the Biltmore in a dual nine hole match. The Raiders continued their high level play with a two stroke victory in a match that came down to the final hole. Sophomore Hugo Stenstrom '26 played the anchor position and didn't disappoint. On the final hole, a par 4 with light fading, Stenstrom fired a wedge to within 2 feet from the hole then calmly tapped in for a birdie to secure the win. Raiders earn victory in dual match
The Ransom boys varsity golf team improved their season match record to 2-0 with a victory over Palmer Trinity at the Granada Golf Course under blue skies and warm conditions. The Raiders pulled away on the final four holes with high quality play from sophomores Mateo Bloom '26, PJ Clingan '26 and Navraj Suri '26. Raiders take home Youth Fair Invitational team title
The Raider boys golf team posted a strong back 9 to earn its 3rd prestigious Dade County Youth Fair Boys Golf Championship in Ransom Everglades history. A warm South Florida day greeted the 74 participants from all across Dade County, both public and private schools meeting for the one and only time during the golf season. Great scoring conditions led to the 297-team total; the 2nd lowest (290, 2018) team score in this events history. The team was led by outstanding individual performances by seniors Jackson Langer '24 and Nick Viana '24 (72, T-8th), as well as Alex Monssoh '30 (76, t15th), and Jesse Hellring '26 (77, t17th) who rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.Read More -
Raiders earn top 4 finish at Palm League Invitational
The best of the best in south Florida 1A and 2A golf programs met today at Crandon Park at Key Biscayne for the playing of the third annual Palm League Championship. The Raiders were led by Axel Monssoh '2030 who finished 8th overall with a 73, and sophomore Matteo Bloom '26 who earned a top 10 finish with a 75.
