New students' first login

The Technology Services Department is delighted to welcome you to Ransom Everglades and assist you with setting up your student Ransom Everglades account. On this page you will find multiple resources to help you get started. You can either watch the set up steps in the videos or follow the instructions in the downloadable document, "Student Top 5". Please follow these instructions carefully, and if you have any questions, contact the Technology Services Department at REsolve@ransomeverglades.org.

The student account with one time password was sent to the parents' myCOMPASS message inbox and is now permanently accessible under the Files and Forms section of myCOMPASS. Parents and students can find this information by logging in to myCOMPASS, selecting "Files and Forms" on the pulldown menu to the right of their user profile, and reviewing the file called "New Students: User Account and Temporary Password" in the "Technology" Section. Follow the steps on this page to set the student password and login for the first time.

For the first time logging in, students should:
  • access the school's Microsoft authentication server and change their temporary password to a password that can be remembered by the student but not easily guessed by others. (See the document, "Treat Your Password Like Your Toothbrush.")
  • set up self-recovery of passwords. This step allows a student to change a forgotten password without requiring intervention from a third party. To perform this step, either a secondary contact email address or mobile number must be entered to receive the confirming code for altering the password.
  • confirm successful login to their school email account. (Refer to the "Top 5" help document.)
  • confirm successful login to myCOMPASS. (Refer to the "Top 5" help document.)
