Camp by the Bay [waitlist available]

The most popular summer camp in Miami is back!

Camp by the Bay is a full-day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) camp for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade that offers sailing, cruising, paddle sports, swim classes, free swimming, arts and crafts, dance, drama, karate, archery, robotics, sports, games and more. Children have access to the Olympic-sized pool at RE's aquatic center, boat dock, gymnasium, fields, classrooms, art studios and auditorium.

Session 1: June 17 - 28 (No camp Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth) Full
Session 2: July 1 - 12 (No camp Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5, in observance of Independence Day) Full
Session 3: July 15 - 26 Full

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

A typical day:
Schedules vary depending on the age group and special events:
7:45 - 8:30 a.m. - Early care (optional, additional fee)
8:30 - 9 a.m. - Regular drop-off and bunk time
9:05 - 11:30 a.m. - Activities #1, 2 and 3
11:35 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. - Lunch
12:25 - 2:55 p.m. - Activities #4, 5 and 6
3 - 3:15 p.m. - Dismissal
3:15 - 4:15 p.m. - After-care (optional, additional fee)

Tuition:
Session 1: $945
Session 2: $900
Session 3: $990

Meals:
Lunch and a healthy snack is included each day. We are a 100% nut-free and seed free campus, so outside food is strictly prohibited. SAGE Catering offers hot and cold selections, catering to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and lactose free dietary restrictions every day. Parents will be able to view the lunch menu online every day. 

What to wear:
  • Bathing suit (Campers should arrive in their bathing suit with t-shirt/shorts over it. This is to limit the amount of time spent changing before water activities. They will have at least one water activity per day.)
  • T-shirt and shorts
  • Sneakers and socks
  • Hat or visor
  • A great attitude (smile!)
What to bring:
Campers are provided with a Summer at RE t-shirt, water bottle, and drawstring bag on the first day of camp. If campers go on fieldtrips, they will be required to wear their camper t-shirt.

  • Backpack or Summer at RE drawstring bag
  • Change of clothes and extra underwear
  • Second bathing suit for double water days
  • Towel
  • Ziploc bag for wet bathing suit
  • Swimming goggles
  • Closed-toed water shoes (Required for all waterfront activities. Campers will not be permitted to participate in watersports without these.)
  • Water bottle
  • Spray sunscreen and/or face sunscreen (We cannot put lotion sunscreen onto your child. Please send them with spray sunscreen only. We can help with face lotion if provided.)
  • Bug spray
  • EpiPen (if applicable)
We ask that parents clearly label all clothes, towels, and water bottles. Ransom Everglades is not responsible for any lost or misplaced items. A lost and found will be held in the Summer Camp office, and it will close on the last day of camp.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
