Raiders win thriller, advance to district final

In a rematch of a 1-0 victory during the regular season the Raiders and the Palmer Trinity Falcons met up again, this time with the stakes much higher with the winner advancing to the district final. For 80 minutes both teams went back and forth but neither could break through as both goalkeepers were tremendous. In overtime senior goalie Preston Edmunds '20 came up with clutch saves allowing the game to reach penalty kicks. Lindsay Gould '21, and seniors Isabella Sosa '20, and Mia Goldberg '20, and Preston Edmunds '20 would all convert their penalty shots, and Preston Edmunds would deny Palmer Trinity twice to propel the Raiders to the district championship in a thrilling victory. With the win the Raiders move to 13-5 on the season as they prepare for Carrollton next Tuesday, February 4th at 3:30 PM at Carrollton. Please come out and support our Raiders!
