Three goal first half propels Raiders to victory

Senior Dillan Kaye '22 converted on a great pass from junior Kobe Lopez '23 early in the first half to give the Raiders a lead they would not relinquish in a 3-0 shut out over SLAM Academy. Later in the first half, Kaye would return the favor with a great feed that Lopez would finish in the back of the net to extend the Raider lead to 2-0. Just before halftime junior Christian Sosa '23 would convert off a set piece to give the Raiders a three goal advantage at the break. The second half saw the Raiders control time of possession with the help of strong defensive play by seniors Nicholas Denaro '22, and Juan Rivera '22. The victory moves the Raiders to 9-1-3 on the year, including the current #2 ranking in the state of Florida in class 3A. The Raiders will get back to the practice field today before hosting Miami Country Day Friday evening for senior night. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
