Raiders earn shutout on senior night

Seniors Jack Harris '23 and Justin Saphier '23 combined for two hits, two runs scored, and three RBI's to lead an inspired effort in a 13-0 victory over Everglades Prep on senior night. Freshman Juan Velazco '26 had a big day at the plate with a pair of doubles to go along with three runs scored, and three RBI's. Defensively, the Raiders received a tremendous pitching performance from junior Thomas Maxwell '24 throwing five shutout innings while striking out 11 batters to earn the victory. The Raiders also notched a combined six stolen bases from Enrique Macias '26, Mason Lastra '25, and Collin Goff '24. The Raiders will get back on the diamond this afternoon for practice before a road contest at Westwood Christian tomorrow afternoon to wrap up the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
