A three-peat for boys' golf in districts

The Ransom Everglades boys' golf team won its third straight district title and fifth in seven years with an incredible team effort at the Florida High School Athletic Association 1A District 16 Championships Oct. 23 at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. RE golfers earned the top three finishes individually: Jesse Hellring '25 led the field with a 1-under par 71, Nick Viana '24 (72, even) finished second overall, and Hugo Stenstrom '26 (75, +3) earned third place. Jackson Langer '24 (76, +4) also scored for RE, which posted the second-lowest 18-hole team district total in RE history, and middle schooler Axel Monssoh '30 contributed.
Ransom Everglades' team score of 294 topped second-place Florida Christian (310) and third-place Westminster Christian (342). Palmer Trinity (344), Immaculata-LaSalle (401), Coral Shores (417) and Marathon (429) rounded out the scoring. The Raiders advanced to the regional tournament under coach Dave Ragan.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
