How did Everglades prepare you for your future? Given Everglades School for Girls was so small – 28 girls in the graduating class, you couldn’t help but know everyone in the school. Even if you weren’t in the same class, it felt like a special community. Besides the amazing education and wonderful teachers – Ms. Randolph, Mrs. Marin, Mrs. Lester, Ms. Seckinger and Freck Baggs – I believe Everglades helped me navigate through life. Looking back, it taught me to build relationships with others, listen, keep my mouth shut when necessary and know how to communicate even when some dialogues might not be easy.
What music was on repeat your senior year?
Barry White, KC and the Sunshine Band, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bee Gees, Phyllis Hyman's "You Know How to Love Me"
Words of wisdom for your fellow alumni:
Soak it all up; cherish the friendships established during your time at Ransom Everglades, don’t doubt yourself because this school has given you a wonderful foundation to take on the world. Enjoy the journey.
