RE anglers fish compete in annual fishing tournament

Ransom Everglades recognizes prominent alumna and dozens of students
Ransom Everglades faculty members presented awards to dozens of students in Grades 9-11 for exemplifying the school’s core values and leadership during the Upper School Awards Ceremony on May 20, and Head of School Rachel Rodriguez named Cheyenne Range ’14 co-recipient of the Head of School’s Award for Distinguished Service to the School.Read More

Ransom Everglades Alumni Weekend 2025: A celebration of community and connection
Read MoreRansom Everglades School welcomed more than 300 alumni from the Classes of 1960 to 2020 for a weekend of reconnecting, reminiscing and reuniting during a spectacular Alumni Weekend 2025. The event attracted alumni from across the United States as well as Sweden and Switzerland, and it offered a range of community events on both campuses and across Miami on April 25-26.

Alumni Business Spotlight: Ali Mejia '90
Ali Salaverria Mejia found her passion for design and luxury pajamas at an early age. Inspired by her mother’s European sleepwear and its beautiful attention to detail, she started altering and redesigning clothing before she entered middle school. After pursuing a career in corporate finance, she left to co-found Eberjey, a trailblazing sleepwear and lingerie brand.Read More -
Faculty Emeriti Profile: Tom Dughi
Tom Dughi taught at Ransom Everglades for 25 years, from 1996 until his retirement in 2021. This English teacher extraordinaire found his passion for literature in college and spent his years at RE sharing that passion with the many students he taught.Read More -

A partner at Selendy Gay law firm in New York City, alumna Lauren Zimmerman '03 has been recognized as one of the best and brightest litigators in the country by Benchmark Litigation and her pro bono work in and commitment to justice have also been recognized by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, which named her to its list of the 40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40.Read More -

Alumni gather in New York City and Miami
Ransom Everglades alumni and friends had a variety of opportunities to connect socially and professionally in Miami and New York City in January. Alumni volunteers spearheaded a real estate speaker event, a finance and entrepreneurship group gathering and a law reception – in addition to the inaugural Alumni Family Picnic on campus. The alumni office traveled to New York City for its annual sojourn, hosting alumni and friends at the Yale Club and getting together with collegiate alumni in the Village and on the Upper West Side.Read More -
RE collegiate alumni return to campus to share advice and reconnect
RE welcomed dozens of collegiate alumni – members of the Classes of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 – for an outdoor lunch with current juniors and seniors on Jan. 9. Angela Dula '23 (Boston College), Gabriel Menendez de Alencar '23 (Harvey Mudd College), Victor Perez '23 (MIT), Pablo Rodriguez-Russowsky '23 (Cornell University) and Karyna Steele '23 (Macalester College) arrived early to speak on a panel to the Class of 2026, offering advice and encouragement about the upcoming college process.Read More

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it." The school provides rigorous college preparation that promotes the student's sense of identity, community, personal integrity and values for a productive and satisfying life, and prepares the student to lead and to contribute to society.
