Electronics/E-Waste Recycling

Ransom Cottage/MS lockers & BTM office
E is collecting old/ unwanted/ used small electronics and e-waste for proper disposal and recycling.

Why should you recycle your electronic items? It decreases the amount of toxins (such as lead, mercury and cadmium) that enter the environment (including our local water systems), and allows for the recovery of valuable natural resources, such as gold, copper, and nickel.

Collection bins are currently available on both the US and MS campuses this entire week. The US bin is located outside of the Ransom Cottage by the dropoff loop and the MS bin is located next to the lockers and Breakthrough Miami office.

Students, faculty, staff, and families are welcome to recycle any unwanted electronics/e-waste items. Please only bring small electronic items to campus that can fit into the bin. You may contact STS directly to learn how to recycle large electronic items. They offer free pick-ups.

To learn more about what items can be recycled, please check this website: https://stsfloridaelectronicrecycling.com or contact Kelly Jackson with questions.

If you're not ready for this week's collection, the bins will be back during Earth Week (April 17-21) and other times as well.
