  • Students view Declaration of Independence copy in the Pagoda

    Declaration of Independence copy displayed in Pagoda

    Students, professional community members and campus guests viewed a historic copy of the Declaration of Independence on October 1-2 while on loan from Friends of RE in the Pagoda. Printed in 1833 by Peter Force from William J. Stone’s 1823 copperplate engraving – commissioned by Secretary of State John Quincy Adams to preserve the original document – this rare artifact offered the school community an opportunity for an insightful look at American history as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of its founding. Many RE classes stopped by to reflect on the principles of freedom and citizenship that marked the founding of the United States.

    Forty-five RE students win recognition in 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program

    Forty-five Ransom Everglades students received recognition in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition, including 21 named National Merit Semifinalists – a distinction that places them in the top one percent of high school seniors nationwide based on their performances on the PSAT exam.
