    Drama students go Into the Woods for an entertaining musical adventure

    RE drama students took audiences into the woods for three nights of musical adventures, meandering through a host of well-known fairy tales – and the massive faux trees expertly designed by student crew members – while exploring the theme of happily ever after. Student actors in vibrant costumes showed their vocal range and skills at the Lewis Family Auditorium from December 11-13 as RE student and faculty musicians provided the perfectly timed musical score.

  • Noa Garcia '27 and Patrick Keedy Brown '26

    RE poet and artist earn major recognitions

    Two RE students recently won recognition for their creative excellence, with Patrick Keedy Brown '26 earning a national literary distinction and Noa Garcia '27 selected for a highly competitive local arts residency. Keedy Brown was among four students nationwide who won the National English Honor Society Poets Laureate Award, and Garcia was named one of five recipients of the inaugural Oolite Arts Youth Artist Residency.

  • Speech and debate team in Chicago

    RE speech and debate scores locally, regionally and nationally

    Ransom Everglades Speech and Debate concluded its fall competitive season with high-level performances across five tournaments since mid-October, winning eight event championships while scoring 18 top-three placements at local, regional and national events. 

    A few highlights: Lucas Sanchez ’27 earned fourth place in Dramatic Interpretation at a national event in Chicago; Ella Griffin '29 earned three first-place finishes across two events; and Reed Gershman ’26 won one event while scoring three top-three finishes. The team of Tyler Marcus ’26 and Eduardo de Sabrit ’26 claimed a first-place finish at a major regional tournament.

    Bowden Fellows Gallery Night showcases summer humanities research projects of seven RE seniors

    Ransom Everglades’ Class of 2026 Dan Leslie Bowden Fellows in the Humanities showcased their completed research projects during Bowden Fellows Gallery Night, a capstone event that opened in the Lewis Family Auditorium and concluded in the Solomon Art Gallery. Introduced by RE’s Chief of Innovation and Strategic Programming John A. King Jr., the director of the nine-year-old program, Jacob Zide '26, Alicia Medina '26, Bridget Mestepey '26, Sophia Linfield '26, Christopher Tsialas '26, Alexandra Russoniello '26 and Ana Gonzalez '26 presented their work on themes that included reconciliation, remembrance and grief.
