    'Festival of Lights' brightens RE campuses

    Ransom Everglades celebrated Diwali with colorful celebrations on both campuses that explored the history and cultural traditions of the five-day "Festival of Lights." Middle school students performed Indian dance, participated in a fashion show, lit candles and created rangolis to mark the holiday on October 24. A day earlier, upper school students joined a professional Indian dancer on stage for impromptu dance lessons.

    Middle school community comes out for Raider Rally

    Middle school parents, students and professional community members donned their RE blue and green, waved pom poms and Raider #1 foam fingers, and enjoyed a festive afternoon of football, food and fun at the Raider Rally on October 22. As the middle school varsity Raiders competed in their final contest of the season, fans filled the lower and upper seating and enjoyed snacks and beverages from the concession stand and food trucks. Students also played basketball and volleyball in the gymnasium.

  • Guitar Ensemble performed

    Performing arts season at RE opens with the Jazz and Guitar Concert

    Ransom Everglades student-musicians, vocalists and dancers combined their talents at the Jazz and Guitar Concert on October 23 in the Posner Lecture Hall. The student performers shined from the opening "Spanish Guitar Suite," which featured members of the Guitar Ensemble in the top row of the lecture hall, to the concluding foot-tapping Brazilian classic "Mas Que Nada," with vocals, drums, bongos and a tambourine.

    Three district titles in one day for Ransom Everglades' golf teams

    Ransom Everglades boys' and girls' golf teams won district titles on the same day for the second straight year at the 1A District 15 Championships, and Cole Durham '29 won the boys' individual title as a ninth grader. The boys' team under Dave Ragan included three of the top four finishers, and the girls' team under Roberta Nieves included three of the top five.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
