Raiders boys soccer defeat Miami Country Day 3-1

Raider boys soccer earned its best win of the season with an impressive 3–1 home victory over top-ranked Miami Country Day, the No. 1 team in Class 2A Region 4.The Raiders set the tone early and matched their opponent’s intensity with conviction, energy, and passion throughout the match. Sebastian Daes ’28 opened the scoring to give the Raiders a 1–0 lead, finishing a well-played buildup assisted by Lucas Piedrahita ’27. After Miami Country Day equalized, the Raiders responded quickly as Ricky Cury ’26 found the back of the net to regain the lead, again assisted by Piedrahita. Daes capped the scoring with his second goal of the night, completing a standout performance and sealing the 3–1 victory. Daes was named Man of the Match, while goalkeeper Ryan Alessandro ’26 delivered a strong performance between the posts, making several key saves in difficult, rainy conditions to preserve the win. A complete team effort highlighted a statement victory for the Raiders against one of the top programs in the region.
