Boys Cross Country performs well at Astronaut Invitational

The Ransom Everglades boys cross country team turned in a solid performance Saturday at the Astronaut Invitational at Chain of Lakes Park in Titusville, with the Raiders showcasing strong depth throughout the Varsity Boys 5K. Sophomore Arthur Barrington '29 led the way for Ransom Everglades, finishing 73rd overall with a time of 19:04.27. Freshman Leo Font '30 followed with a strong performance of 19:56.07, while fellow freshman Connor Wiggins '30 crossed just behind him in 19:59.64. Senior Giacomo Chinoy '27 was next across the line for the Raiders, posting a time of 20:20.11, followed by senior Evan Coulter '27, who rounded out the scoring five in 20:57.95. The Raiders also received strong contributions from freshman James Harper '30, who finished in 21:01.43, and sophomore William Newton '29, who crossed in 22:00.12. Sophomore Daniel Wals '29 completed the Ransom Everglades contingent in 23:19.54. Ransom Everglades' top five runners combined for a team time of 1:40:18, averaging just over 20 minutes per runner, with less than two minutes separating the first and fifth Raiders across the finish line. The Raiders will look to build on the strong showing as the cross country season continues
