Raider Girls Cross Country makes history as Juju Hart '30 claims individual victory at Bobcat Invitational

The Ransom Everglades girls cross country team turned in an impressive performance, highlighted by a historic individual victory from freshman Juju Hart ’30, who captured the 5K title in 19:27.73. Hart’s victory marks the first individual girls cross country championship in a major Invitational race for a Raider in at least a decade, making the performance a memorable milestone for the program. She edged Carrollton’s Eva Martinez-Lejarza by just 3.52 seconds in a thrilling finish. The Raiders also delivered a strong team performance, placing second with 58 points, behind Carrollton’s 24 points. Ransom Everglades placed four runners among the top 11 finishers, led by Hart. Sophomore Gillian Carvalho '29 continued her strong season with a fifth-place finish in 19:55.89, breaking the 20-minute mark. London Ross '33 was eighth in 20:15.14, followed by sophomore Amelia Gonzales '29 in 11th at 21:25.08. Junior Victoria Garcia-Pinochet '28 rounded out the Raiders’ scoring five with a 36th-place finish in 24:24.02. The Raiders’ top four runners all finished inside the top 11, giving Ransom Everglades an impressive front-end presence and helping the team secure the runner-up finish. With Hart’s historic victory and a deep group producing strong times throughout the lineup, the Raiders continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
