Math team members advance in national competition

Seven students on Ransom Everglades' upper school math team earned top scores on a major national math exam as the calculus team excelled at a regional competition, a testament to the team's preparation and commitment under coaches Sebastian Revollo and Thor Andreassen '17.

Joshie Khohayting '28, Daniel Li '28, Kai Duwin '26 and Gabriel Karsenti '26 (top 10 percent) and Robert Li '26, Armin Stamate '26 and Minnie Zhou '26 (top 25 percent), each qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) with their performances on the American Mathematics Competitions 10 and 12 – an impressive distinction reserved for the top tier of math students in the United States.
The RE math team also delivered a strong performance at the 2026 Mu Alpha Theta January Regional at American Heritage School, scoring a fifth-place finish against 33 teams. The team included Daniel Li '28, Max Grunwald '26, Gabriel Karsenti '26 and Alex Tevelow '28.
