The Gold Key award winners – Biss, Rahman, Yifan Shen '30 and Marlo Sohn '30 – represent the top 5-7 percent of all entries and automatically advance in the national competition. Silver Keys are awarded to the top 15 percent of regional entries for "demonstrated excellence": Biss, Rahman, Olivia Rojas '30, Lillian Liu ’27 and Daniela White ’27 each earned Silver Keys. Honorable Mentions recognize works that display exceptional creative potential and technical skill. See the full list of recognized visual artists at RE below.
The students prepared their award-winning works under the guidance of Ransom Everglades visual arts faculty under department chair Matt Stock. The results highlight RE's creative excellence across disciplines ranging from painting and jewelry to digital illustration and animation.
The winning works by Gold and Silver Key recipients will be on public display at the Rubell Museum from March 14-29. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held at the museum on Saturday, March 14, from 1-4 p.m.
