RE dance team scores two awards at the Florida Dance Challenge

The Ransom Everglades Dance Team won two awards at the Florida Dance Challenge January 24 at Hialeah Gardens High School. The entire team placed third in Large Varsity Contemporary/Modern and a small group consisting of dance team members Isabella Rojas-Cueva '26, Sofia Berkshire '26, Katy Elgarresta '27 and Mia Vasa '28 placed second in Small Advanced Varsity Contemporary/Modern.
The team's coach is Tess Guidry and the competition pieces were choreographed by Gabrielle Guidry.  

The Florida Dance Challenge was created to bring the art form of dance to align with other performing arts disciplines. It is also designed to unite the dance community within the public, private and charter school sectors in the South Florida area. The event took place under the direction of the Dade Association of Dance Educators in conjunction with Miami-Dade County Public Schools
