Upper school elects new student body president and class officers

Touting his student government experience and promising to enhance school spirit and prioritize student wellness, Luke Jaffee '26 won the support of his upper school peers and was elected to serve as Student Government Association president in 2025-26, succeeding Hannah Zuckerman '25. Rising 10th through 12th graders also elected new slates of class officers (ninth graders will choose their leaders in the fall).
Jaffee is entering his seventh year in RE student government, having begun his tenure as director of activities in sixth grade. He has also served on the board of the Volunteer Service Council and Breakthrough Miami, as a Peer Health Educator for the Health Information Project, and as a member of Miami Venturing Entrepreneurs of Ransom Everglades. He also is a member of the water polo team and son of RE alum Rob Jaffee '89.

"I am not up here for me," he said from the Lewis Family Auditorium stage on April 1st. "I am here to give you all the most amazing school year possible."
