RE students gain real-world experience through the Explorer Externship program
Nearly 90 Ransom Everglades students enjoyed immersive opportunities at more than two dozen companies/workplaces this past summer, concluding a highly successful first year for RE's new Explorer Externship Program. Students gained real-world work experience in a variety of industries with externships at Arquitectonica, TOCCIN, Cassel Salpeter, Invicta Watch Group and UHealth, among many others, as well as with a federal judge in the Southern District of Florida.
Many alumni and RE parents offered their time and company resources for the externships, which included one-day "Waypoints" and longer "Expeditions." The program will continue throughout the school year; if you have a valuable experience to offer to Ransom Everglades students, please reach out to Explorer Externship Program Coordinator Jenny Carson '03.
