Boys' Varsity Soccer Advances in Penalty Shootout

After two overtime periods, the Boys' Varsity Soccer Team defeated MAST Academy in a thrilling penalty shootout, 4-3. An overall outstanding performance by goalkeeper Antonio Tsialas who did only stop two penalty shots and seal the victory for the Raiders but converted on the first penalty kick of his own. Danny Mendoza's goal with less than 5 minutes to play in the end of regulation was able to tie the game at 1 goal apiece and force overtime play. With the win the team advances to the district semifinal game on Tuesday, January 29 at 7:00 PM versus Mater Lakes on Robert E. Walker Field.
