Boys' Varsity Volleyball Claims Silver Division Championship
The Boys' Varsity Volleyball Team defeated Palmetto, John Leonard and Cooper City on Friday and Saturday to advance to the Silver Bracket championship game. In the semifinal match against Cooper City Ryan Peluso led the Raiders with 11 kills, 9 digs and 2 aces while Will Drody recorded 10 kills and 2 blocks. Nicolas Stone Perez contributed 30 assists and 2 blocks. Nick Namias added 3 aces and 8 total service points. Ben Cobb picked up 10 digs and 2 aces. In the championship match the Raiders defeated tournament host Cardinal Gibbons, 2-0. Peluso recorded 22 kills, 10 digs, 8 service points and 1 ace. Drody contributed 8 kills while Logan Courey added 3 blocks and 2 kills. Rylan Sadler picked up 6 digs and 2 aces and Nick Stone Perez dished out a team-high 36 assists along with 3 digs.
