Visual arts recognition at the US

Two upper school students won recognition in the visual arts in recent competitions: Lucia Dahn '23 won the Grand Prize in the Miami-Dade County high school division of the La Plume Young Writers’ Contest with her short story, “Just Maybe," which will be published through La Plume in conjunction with the Miami Conservatory of Music. Emma Rosenthal '21 won "nominee" recognition for her documentary image "La Vie En Quarantine" in the photojournalism category of the 15th Annual Black & White Spider Awards – that put her in the top 14 percent of more than 6,000 entries from 69 countries from professionals and amateurs.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
