Robotics wins awards at home event

Two Ransom Everglades robotics teams won major awards at the VEX Robotics Competition High School South Florida Qualifier at Ransom Everglades on October 16. The event, directed by robotics coach Bob DuBard, was the first on-campus robotics events since the pandemic, and it drew 32 teams from around South Florida. RE's REboticists claimed the Design Award and Dark Matter won the Innovate Award.
Members of the REboticists include: Arjun Badwal '23, Mia Campbell '25, Erick Gross '24, Myles Heller '24, Charlotte Kennedy '24, Victoria Paraoulaki de Miranda '24 and Vicky Pinilla '25. Dark Matter includes Dashiell DeStefano '22, Emma G '23, Sofia Dimitra Paraoulaki de Miranda '23, Max Vallone '22 and Alex Van Lidth '22.
