Raiders place fifth at National Championships

Ransom Everglades sailing concluded their season this past weekend at the ISSA High School Coed Dinghy Sailing National Championships held at Mission Bay Yacht Club in sunny San Diego, California. This prestigious event featured 20 of the best high school sailing teams in the country. Light pacific winds welcomed all teams Saturday morning and experience showed as Mater Dei High School took charge early. Ransom Everglades would start out slow before finding their groove in the afternoon session. Seniors Stephan Baker '22 and crew Livia Hermann '22 led the way for the Raiders with consistent sailing in the A division accounting for the majority of the Raiders points over the course of the event. Freshman Griggs Diemar '25 and senior Boris Bialer '22 also impressed with strong performances. Day two would see skipper Jackson McAliley '23 and Eva Ganzalez- Whitehouse '22 add to the Raider point total and a top five finish against the best teams in the nation. Congratulations to all coaches and sailors on a wonderful season.
