Middle School Picnic draws a crowd

Middle school families enjoyed a host of activities on the Everglades Campus while getting to know one another better at the annual Middle School Picnic, which was interrupted by lightning warnings but still drew a crowd and offered indoor and outdoor entertainment. The Sept. 18 event organized by the Ransom Everglades Parents' Association offered games on the field and in the gymnasium; arts and crafts in classrooms; a uniform REpurpose shop in the library; and food and beverages.
Middle schoolers – and their younger siblings – challenged themselves with an obstacle course; football, baseball and basketball tosses; pickleball; volleyball; basketball; ping pong; and much more. There were pie-eating and hula-hoop competitions and other games and activities. Parents had the chance to buy RE gear and shop for free RE clothing at the REpurpose shop run by parent Lauren Goff.

They also had the chance to mingle with other parents and school administrators, including Head of the Middle School Eric Boberg and Interim Head of School Rachel Rodriguez.
