Raiders earn overtime victory in dramatic fashion
Juniors Madison DePriest '24, Leah Croom '24, and Dani Darcangelo '24, provided the scoring for the Raiders in an exciting 11-10 overtime road victory against Miami Country Day this past Friday. Sophomore goal keeper Sofia Martin '25 was solid in goal with nine saves. In a game that was evenly played, it was the Raiders who would come up clutch in sudden death overtime, winning possession and sharing the ball before Darcangelo '24 found the back of the net for the walk off game winning goal. The victory is the Raiders third win in its last five games as they continue to improve day by day. The team will get back on the practice field this afternoon as they prepare to host Coral Reef High School, Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The Raiders will also celebrate seniors Tamia Beckford '23, Lucy Fitzpatrick '23, Leticia Crosby '23, Anabelle Echeverria '23, Jessica Friedman '23, Annika Gelber '23, and Alyssa Suarez '23.
