Raiders take Tournament of Champions title, move to 9-0

The Raiders magical start to the season continued behind a stellar weekend at the Tournament of Champions that resulted in a 6-0 record, and 1st place finish. Juniors Julia Lewkowitz '25, and Mia Jean Claude '25 combined for 115 kills, 45 digs, and 15 aces over the course of the tournament. Senior Andrea Ortiz '24 had a big weekend with 37 digs, 31 kills, and 10 aces.  Senior Stephanie Wallen '24 continued her solid play with a a team high 118 assists. Defensively, junior Addison Pollock '25 was all over the place with a team high 87 digs. From the opening whistle Friday morning the Raiders came ready to play. In pool play they would defeat Lakeland High School, Frederick Douglas (KY) High School , Winter Spring High School and Steinbrenner High School to earn the top seed in the semifinal round. In a tight battle Saturday afternoon, the Raiders would defeat Lourdes in a third set winner take all 15-10 victory. In the final the Raiders would sweep Olympia High School by the score of 26-24, and 25-21 to close out a special weekend and be crowned champions.
