Raiders REtain the oar in thrilling victory

In front of a packed house the Raiders earned a hard fought victory over Palmer Trinity to REtain the oar for a fifth consecutive year. The Raiders would jump out to an early 14-0 lead with a pair of touchdowns from quarterback  Neimann Lawrence '28 to seniors Teymoor Siahpoosh '24, and Bryce Sadler '24. The Falcons, to their credit would not go away and capitalized on two scoring drives in the second quarter to tie it up at 14-14. The second half saw both teams go toe to toe in a close contest. Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 had his best game of the season and led the Raiders in the second half with big play after big play including a pair of long touchdown receptions. With two minutes to go and the Raiders up eight the Falcons would drive down the field and face a fourth and one at the four yard line. With the oar at stake the Raiders would come up big and force an incomplete pass to stay undefeated and keep the oar. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and a special thank you to our dance team and senior Emma Holzman '24 on a wonderful rendition of the national anthem.
